Biomarkers of exposure
Working Group (WG)
The Working Group (WG) on "Biomarkers of exposure" reports to the Expert Committee (CES) on "Health Reference Values".
The Working Group's missions are to:
- recommend relevant biomarkers of exposure for the biological monitoring of exposure of workers and the general population to chemical substances, associated with biological limit values or biological reference values;
- contribute to the prioritisation of substances requiring biological limit values or to be included in a biomonitoring programme;
- comment on and/or contribute to appraisal documents discussed at European level on issues in connection with the assessment of biomarkers of exposure or the follow-up of biomonitoring studies and the interpretation of results.
