Fees and services in the area of veterinary medicinal products
As part of its missions relating to the assessment and management of the risks of veterinary medicinal products, ANSES collects fees.
The French Agency for Veterinary Medicinal Products (ANMV), part of ANSES, is the competent authority for assessing and managing the risks of veterinary medicinal products. It charges a fee for processing dossiers relating to veterinary medicinal products, including those concerning advertising authorisations, and manufacturing or wholesale authorisation. In addition, an annual fee is payable by each holder of a marketing authorisation (MA) or a manufacturing or wholesale authorisation. These amounts are defined in the Public Health Code and presented below. Moreover, some services provided by the ANMV, such as inspections abroad or official batch releases, also require payment of a fee.
After a dossier or service request has been submitted, the applicant receives an invoice from the ANMV, and the amount due is payable to the ANSES accounting officer (Agent Comptable). The fees payable for MA or variation applications are collected on a monthly basis.
Payment is due after the application has been submitted, on receipt of a monthly invoice sent to each applicant and accompanied by supporting documents detailing all the applications submitted during the previous month. Payment by cheque or bank transfer must be made in full on receipt of this monthly invoice.
