ANSES is a major player in animal health and welfare. It will be at the International Livestock Trade Faire (SPACE) in Rennes, France from 13 through 16 September 2011.
Once again, this event is an opportunity for ANSES to meet with livestock professionals and to discuss specific topics of interest.
At its stand, the Agency will present the missions and activities of its Grand-Ouest laboratories which specialise in animal health, located in Ploufragan-Plouzané and Fougères.
ANSES also coordinates a number of epidemiological surveillance networks involving laboratories, health and technical organisations, veterinarians, doctors and breeders. The Agency will therefore highlight its work and its involvement in epidemiological surveillance, a key element in animal health risk prevention.
A conference dedicated to the role of ANSES and that of the professionals working in surveillance and health monitoring will be held on 14 September at the "Espace région Bretagne 1" from 2 PM to 6 PM.
Researchers from the Agency will also participate in the national half-day event on avian pathology on the same day.
