Symposium Salmonella and Salmonellosis

In May 2013 (from 27th to 29th), the next International Symposium Salmonella and Salmonellosis will be held in Saint-Malo - France.
Since the first time in 1992, this symposium has been a great success and many scientists from over the world attended I3S. This
symposium takes place over time and is now in its sixth edition. This symposium will be arranged by ANSES, InVS,
INRA, Institut Pasteur, ISPAIA and ZOOPOLE.
Take part, every time, scientists and technicians interested in the problems of Salmonella related to animal and human health.
The different sessions (Genomic and applications, Antimicrobial resistance, Interactions between hosts and bacteria, Immune response and host genetic resistance, Detection, identification, quantification, Ecology and animal epidemiology, Epidemiology and Public Health, Risk assessment and control) allow participants to understand these organisms in their various aspects.
The organization of sessions in oral communications and posters, also allows participants to exchange
views on these topics.
Based on previous editions, more than 350 people from around the world (more than 40 countriesrepresented in 2010), will be present for 3 days in Saint-Malo.
Within each plenary session, a main report will give the state of the art of the knowledge. A significant part of these sessions will be reserved to selected oral communications (more than 50), and a permanent display of the posters will be for the 3 days.
