The French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) was created last July from the merger between AFSSA and AFSSET, and will be attending the Paris International Agricultural Show for the first time.
The new Agency’s principal mission is to contribute to the protection of human health through risk assessment in the fields of the environment, the workplace and food, while also contributing to animal health and wellbeing and plant protection.
Given its wide field of competence, ANSES is able to identify all of the risks to which people are exposed, intentionally or otherwise, at all ages and times of life, including at work, in the home, and while engaging in leisure activities.
On its stand, through an imaginative set design, ANSES will be presenting its missions and the results of its work. Parents and children will be invited on a journey to learn about health and safety issues in a light-hearted way, enabling them to become experts of a sort while having fun.
A series of simple questions will give everyone an overall view of the different aspects of scientific assessment.
Scientists from the Agency will be available to respond to questions from children and adults alike, on the:
