ANSES and the UFPP sign a partnership agreement

On 6 April 2022, ANSES and the UFPP began a collaboration to limit the exposure of people with chronic diseases to health risks in their daily lives by providing information to patients and listening to their perspectives.

The French-Speaking Union of Partner Patients (UFPP) and ANSES have decided to collaborate to support patients with chronic diseases in actively managing their own health by providing information and listening to them.

l Anses et l UFPP signent une convention de partenariat

After an initial collaboration on the university diploma course in “Democracy in Healthcare – Partner Patients – Pharmaceuticals” delivered by the Créteil University of Medicine, ANSES and the UFPP are signing a 3-year partnership agreement to achieve three objectives:

  • Relay ANSES’s scientific findings and recommendations to UFPP partner patient groups, on topics such as nutrition, and understanding chemical, biological and physical risks associated with living and working environments and consumer products.
  • Develop participatory research with patients in ANSES’s areas of expertise.
  • Participate in events to exchange experiences, and events for patient communities, carers and healthcare professionals, and organize joint outreach and awareness-raising activities.

This partnership is in line with ANSES’s commitment to become more responsive to society’s needs and with the UFPP’s drive to promote democracy in healthcare.
