Occupational diseases
Working Group
The Working Group (WG) on "Occupational diseases" reports to the Expert Committee (CES) on "Assessment of the risks related to air environments".
It has several mandates: to conduct collective expert appraisals on occupational diseases as part of the creation/amendment of occupational disease tables or recommendations to the Regional Committees for the Recognition of Occupational Diseases (CRRMPs); to carry out scientific and medical monitoring of risk factors that are already or not yet included in these tables, in order to make recommendations to the public authorities with a view to the possible creation of new tables or amendments to existing ones, or for making recommendations to the CRRMPs; and through its work, to provide the public authorities with discussion points on analysing the operation of the system for recognising occupational diseases, especially with regard to progress in knowledge on occupational diseases and in particular multifactorial delayed-onset diseases.
