Thematic Working Group
The Working Group (WG) on "Biotechnology" reports to the Expert Committee (CES) on "Assessment of biological risks in food".
The areas of expertise it is asked to address are:
- assessment of the health risks of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) intended for food and feed, and of food and feed containing GMOs or produced from such organisms;
- assessment of the health risks and benefits of food enzymes intended for human consumption;
- any topic with a general scope related to the health risks of these products.
