Expert Committee

 
The Expert Committee (CES) on "Human nutrition" is in charge of: 

  • assessing the nutritional properties and health risks of substances and foodstuffs used in human food (normal diet, special diets, novel foods and novel ingredients); 
  • developing nutritional references (recommended intakes) for the population and sub-groups of the population; providing the scientific evidence needed for the development and implementation of national food and nutrition policy (PNNS, PO, PNA);
  • operational monitoring of the nutritional vigilance scheme.
